Caenen Park is linked to Remigius Achille Caenen, a Belgian immigrant who arrived in Kansas in the late 1800s. Caenen built a stone castle-like home in 1907, using hand-quarried limestone from his land. A successful farmer, businessman, and real estate developer, Caenen helped shape the local community by financing homes and promoting land ownership.
Caenen Park is a small, 0.4 acre park on the corner of Johnson Drive and Caenen. The park has a playground, swings and picnic table.
